For Parents

Our Masonic Heritage
Job’s Daughters International was founded in 1920 and is proudly sponsored by the Masonic Fraternity. While inspired by the values of Freemasonry—integrity, respect, service, and personal growth—Job’s Daughters is its own organization dedicated specifically to young women.

Our Masonic connection provides stability, structure, and a strong ethical foundation. Many local Bethels are sponsored by Masonic Lodges or related Masonic bodies, ensuring consistent oversight and community accountability.

Who Supervises the Organization?
Every Bethel is guided by:

  • A Bethel Guardian Council made up of trained, background-checked adults – Certified Adult Volunteers (CAVs)
  • A Bethel Guardian and Associate Guardian who oversee meetings and activities
  • State/Grand and Supreme leadership teams who provide additional oversight and standards

Adult leaders are present at all meetings and events. They serve as mentors, role models, and safeguards—ensuring a structured, respectful, and positive environment.

Parents are always welcome to ask questions, attend public events, and remain actively involved.

Our Commitment to Safety
The safety and well-being of our members is our highest priority. We maintain:

  • Background checks for adult volunteers (where required by jurisdiction)
  • Clear behavioral guidelines and supervision policies
  • Two-deep leadership standards at activities
  • Structured meeting environments with adult oversight
  • Parent communication and transparency

We strive to create an atmosphere where girls feel physically safe, emotionally supported, and encouraged to grow with confidence.

Community Service & Positive Impact
Service is at the heart of Job’s Daughters. Members plan and participate in meaningful projects that support:

  • Local charities
  • Veterans and first responders
  • Food banks and shelters
  • Community events
  • Masonic and youth philanthropy initiatives

Through hands-on service, members learn responsibility, compassion, teamwork, and civic engagement. Many Bethels contribute hundreds of volunteer hours annually within their communities.

Scholarships & Leadership Development

Job’s Daughters provides real opportunities for personal growth, including:

  • Public speaking experience
  • Event planning and organizational leadership
  • Committee and officer roles
  • State and international leadership conferences
  • Scholarship programs at the Supreme and Grand levels

Members develop skills that benefit them long after graduation—confidence, professionalism, communication, and a strong sense of purpose.

A Partnership With Families

We understand that parents want more than activities—they want a safe, values-based environment that helps their daughters thrive. Through structured leadership, adult mentorship, service opportunities, and lifelong friendships, Job’s Daughters International partners with families to build strong, capable, and compassionate young women.
